Winterization & Spring Start-Up
Winterization is a process of removing the Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) to prevent water freezing in pipes, therefore damaging the RPZ (which is a pricy replacement) or if the system was not installed at proper depths, the pipes and heads could be damaged by the freeze. The spring startup is the process of reconnecting the RPZ back onto the system. This is done by meticulously going through the entire system zone by zone, checking the heads, and ensuring they are all adjusted properly. Once RPZ is connected, the technicians go through each zone to make sure that each head pops up easily, produces proper coverage and functioning to its utmost 100%. The clock is then set to proper times, pending the type of heads, sun and shade times in certain areas, and then according to the time of the year.
